whilst i applaude anyone who embraces the sartorial world, there are a few rules that can't be broken, the main one being fit. i love the combo this guy has on, but it's all way too tight. the key to tailoring is having a streamlined look that doesn't look like a batsuit! here, the shoulders are too small, the bicep of the jacket too tight, as are the thigh and knee in the pants. A+ for coordination though!

really loving this look...whilst a black tie, chambrey shirt and cream suit goes against most peoples colour pallette, i think the prportions of the shirt collar and lapel really work. and the knit tie and shirt fabric (i own half a dozen chambreys!) keep it from being too stuffy...i don't think a woven tie would have had the same effect. one more for the wardrobe!

anyone who's followed my blog in the past knows i have a thing for libraries...i'm obsessed with books, and one day will have the perfect library to house them all!
this one comes pretty close. love the industrial library shelving, especially when mixed with the exposed brick walls...and having art lying around the place? dream!

two great ways to wear white pants now summer is in full swing! either get your euro vibe going with a color blazer at right above, (love the navy shirt on this guy too!) or tone it down for a classic look with a navy blazer, white shirt and tie. both guaranteed to turn heads. now, where are those white pants i stored away?

i'm back!

after a very long (too long) absence on this blog, i've decided to start writing again.
