i've loved kaws' work since the early days when i lived in NYC and he was doing his bus stops and phone boxes. we used to hang out a bit too...how i wish i'd gotten a piece back then. they still look fantastic, and he's just gone from strength to strength!

there are way too many of this mans paintings and sculptures for me to choose just one, but keith haring has always been one of my favourite artists, for both his work and the fact that he loved to do murals in public places for free. can you imagine what he'd be commenting on in his work if he was alive today?!

alberto giacometti. tall figure III and tall figure II. 1960. i've always loved the proportions and the haunting beauty of giacomettis sculptures. these sum it up perfectly
